Acmé seeks to transcribe the effects and sensations of an anxiety attack. Oscillating between Corporality and the Material Body, Anguish tries to impose itself and dominate the whole body.
Corporality, or the brain, intentionally controls emotions and the realm of the sensible. The material body makes this emotion tangible. The projected visuals represent the link, the flow, between this Corporality and this Material Body. They make visible the anxiety that spreads between the two body parts. The two main actors wage a battle against anxiety that leads to a tornado, a climax, the Acme, where the crisis reaches its apogee.
